organizations to certify organic farms in North America. In
1990, CCOF founded the Organic

Council (OCC), and the International
Federation of Organic Agricultural Movements (IFOAM). CCOF is

Gateways
Book & Gifts - 1126 Soquel Ave., Santa

Gateways Books and Gifts is one of the most successful
bookstores in the country dedicated to the exploration of
Mind, Body and Spirit. They are a non-profit organization
owned and operated by the Hanuman
Fellowship &endash; which also
sponsors the Mount
Madonna Center(see below). Gateways holds
in-store events 2-3 times per week and seats 150 attendees.
For larger events, they regularly utilize their sister
organization, the Pacific Cultural Center, which boasts
seating for 250 as well as other high-quality venues which
accommodate up to 600 attendees. In recent years, they have
hosted many internationally known and respected authors
including: Deepak Chopra, Caroline Myss, Jean Houston,
Andrew Weil, Andrew Harvey, James Redfield, Eckart Tolle,
Byron Katie, Don Miguel Ruiz, Dr. Masaru Emoto, and many
others.

anyone can buy food at the Food Co-op, members receive a
discount. The Co-op operates as a collective and a variety
of membership options are available. Special pricing is
